- FROM THE SEATTLE COLLECTION This is an extremely rare Liberty Head nickel pattern. Longacre's Liberty Head, similar to that used on the 3 cent nickel pieces. A large 5 in a thin laurel wreath, IN GOD WE TRUST above. Struck on a broad copper planchet with a reeded edge. Rated as R-7+, with just six currently seen at PCGS and NGC in all grades. A wonderfully preserved GEM with light mirrors in the fields. The unstruck areas at the rims have a satiny texture. Nicely struck, the surfaces are mostly red with some iridescent toning distributed over the devices. There are a few old flecks, but the eye appeal is quite nice. PCGS 2, NGC 0. This coin last sold in auction five years ago, and is the finest example that has sold in auction. Five years ago, it sold for $7,050. Today the Collectors Universe value is listed at $7,900. This is an extremely RARE pattern that comes up for sale only once every 5-10 years. Good luck! Cert. Number 25113705 PCGS # 70845.00
