FROM THE R.S.D. COLLECTION. What a beautiful SUPERB CAMEO Proof Barber dime! We are in awe of everything about this GEM! Boldly mirrored fields are vivid in their deep, watery reflection with strong clarity and cleanliness. The devices are boldly struck up and have a thick, creamy frost that stands out in stark contrast to the mirrored fields. Both sides are framed by a halo of rainbow toning. The surfaces are essentially perfect, free of any serious lines, marks, or discolorations that distract the eye. Indeed, this SUPERB coin is a real delight to behold! Only 912 Proofs were struck. PCGS 16, NGC 11, CAC 11. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $3,500. While the most recent example sold for only $3,290 in the 2017 ANA auction, prior to that, one sold in August 2013 for $7,050.
