FROM THE UNFORGETTABLE COLLECTION A frosty, untoned SUPERB GEM Lexington. Struck to commemorate the sesquicentennial of the battles of Lexington and Concord and the start of the American Revolution, this has always been a popular type. Common up to and including MS66 grades, it is quite challenging in the presently offered SUPERB grade and extremely rare any finer. Frosted silver lustrous surfaces radiate with a tinge of iridescent silvery/white toning. The devices are sharply struck up and the surfaces are clean and a delight to behold. PCGS 38, NGC 17. The most recent PCGS-graded MS67 Lexington sold for $3,600 in December 2021. Only nine are graded higher at PCGS: 7 in MS67+, 1 in MS68, and 1 in MS68+. Only the MS68 has ever sold in auction, realizing $69,000 back in 2005! We anticipate this beauty will see very strong bidding and placement in another great set of commemoratives. Good luck. Cert.
