- CUBA. Cuba - Mexico. Peso, ND (1872-77). PCGS EF-45. KM-R7. Countermark: Variety A, Short and thick key. Applied to the reverse of a 1873-Mo M Mexico Republic "Balance Scale" Peso (KM-408.5). A SCRACEdenomination from this series, especially in higher states of preservation. The countermark is nearly complete and bold on a nicely preserved host displaying attractive light gray tone with areas of richer coloration amongst the devices. The surfaces offer a bit of glossiness with luster in the protected areas adding to its pleasing appearance.
