- NOT a common coin at all! Despite a mintage of 38.4 million the QUALITY of production was not of major concern, and well struck examples are very difficult to find, especially in the higher Mint State grades. This one is tied for second highest graded with just four in MS67 FS finer. Sharply struck and highly lustrous, this nearly SUPERB example has a touch of pale gold and the tiny ticks have zero impact on the outstanding eye appeal. PCGS 10, NGC 0. In the last two years we have sold two examples, the most recent from the Incline Collection in July 2020 for $1,763. Prior to that, we sold one in June 2019 for $3,408.
