- What a GORGEOUS and undergraded example of this final PROOF ONLY three cent silver issue. Spectacular near-Cameo contrast on the obverse and rich blue and rose toning on both sides give this old holdered example a fabulous look. While we cannot be sure, it is quite possible this piece came out of the Dr. Donald R. Shasky Hoard sold by Stack's in November 1995. Only 600 Proofs were struck. PCGS 132, NGC 45, CAC GOLD 1. Admittedly the price spreads between PR63 and PR65 is quite narrow, that said, this coin is highly alluring and worthy of a strong bid. Good luck. Cert. Number 198712008 PCGS # 3724
