Obverse: Arms of both Switzerland and Lucerne, target and crossed rifles above, and banderole above both; arms within laurel wreath, escutcheon below; Reverse: View of Lucerne showing the Water Tower and Chapel Bridge, "LUZERN" above. An attractive medal, bridging both 19th and 20th century design elements, with a luster that looks as fresh now as when it was struck. Listed as "Very Rare" in Richter. Estimate: $200 - $300.
