详细说明: A very cool GEM DCAM Seated half! While this date is seen with cameo contrast on a somewhat regular basis, 1887 halves with DCAM contrast are extremely RARE. Frosted devices, showing generally full strikes that contrast against icy smooth, crystal clear, deep and beaming proof mirrors! The contrast is dramatic and clear. Essentially untoned, save for a gentle touch of the clearest gold, and the eye appeal is AMAZING! Only 710 proofs were struck. PCGS 1, NGC 2, CAC 1. Only two coins are graded finer at PCGS, both are graded PR66+ DCAM. No CAC approved PR65 DCAM, graded by PCGS or NGC has ever sold in auction. A PCGS PR64 DCAM CAC sold for $6,463 in January 2015 and a PR66+ DCAM PCGS/CAC sold for $21,150 in March 2013, thus we feel the current PCGS Price Guide value of $8,500 is way too low, considering a PR65 DCAM sold in our July 2017 auction for $9,400.
