A wonderful example of this first year of issue, and popular one year only type without the word CENTS as part of the denomination. Borderline Prooflike lustrous brilliance in the fields and a somewhat creamy frost on the sharply struck devices give this a really Prooflike look. The surfaces are generally clean and exceptionally vibrant giving this PQ SUPERB GEM the ultimate look. VERY RARE FINER, this is perfect for a type or date set! PCGS 53, NGC 62, CAC 21. Ignore the PCGS and CAC published prices, another CAC example sold for $3,120 in June 2021, well in excess of the published levels and other APRs. There are only a dozen graded MS67+ finer, clearly some were saved at the time of issue as a first year of issue. NOTE: we sold a 67+ in April 2021 for $4,818.
