This is almost certainly a former Mint set coin, as are many Gem Uncirculated examples of this second year Denver Mint Franklin half dollar issue. Smooth, lustrous surfaces are dusted with mottled reddish-russet patina that is more extensive and pronounced on the obverse. A visually striking coin for collectors that appreciate richly toned silver.
