A serious condition rarity in the series, and underrated in such high grades. Glorious satin frost shines on both sides of this silky smooth GEM. Soft honey-wheat color dominates both sides. A sharp strike gives all the details on Ms. Liberty and the reverse wreath full definition. Even using a powerful loupe, nothing more than the stray line can be detected and nothing is distracting. PCGS 7, NGC 6. Here is how hard this coin is to find in high grade: the fabulous Duckor Collection included a PCGS MS65 CAC. Dr. Duckor’s coin was the most recent 65 to sell realizing $10,869 in August 2015. Before that, you had to go back to 2005 to find another MS65 sold in auction. There are only three coins graded finer, only one of which has sold at auction, a 67 selling for $29,900 in March 2004.
