- 1873 Silver Three-Cent Piece. Proof-65 (PCGS). OGH--First Generation. Richly original surfaces exhibit mottled steel-blue and charcoal-olive patina on warmer antique silver. Sharply struck and featuring solid Gem quality throughout. The silver three-cent series passed into history in 1873 with a mintage of just 600 coins, all of which were struck in Proof format.
