THE BOYLSTON COLLECTION PART II POPULAR type coin with the Arrows at the date. Coined for just two years in 1873 and 1874. The Arrows were placed on each side of the date to indicate a miniscule change in the weight of the planchet, according to the Mint Act of Feb. 12, 1873. The coin faces up wonderfully with traces of champagne gold toning present on both sides. Under a strong loupe there are some minor hairlines which keep the coin from a higher grade. Exceptionally well struck. PCGS 14, NGC 6. The last one to trade at auction sold in April 2021 for $2,850. PCGS Price Guide value is $2,750. Plan to bid aggressively on this mark-free piece! Cert.
