详细说明: Legend Rare Coin Auctions is proud to offer this AMAZING RED 1926-S cent! Tied for FINEST graded! The 1926-S is a MAJOR Condition Rarity, indeed it is the RAREST of all Lincoln cents GEM RED. After 35+ years of operations, PCGS has graded just THREE in MS65 RD with NONE FINER. The typical 26-S is toned, and even in BN and RB Mint State grades, this is a scarce date. The typical example is apt to be softly struck and many of the so-called MS64 RD examples have spotting and unsightly color. This GEM is fully RED. Fire-engine red, with golden-orange-rose and soft lilac accents. The luster is thickly frosted with a satiny sheen that really comes to life when the surfaces are rotated in a light. A strong glass fails to reveal any serious marks or spotting of any kind on either side. The eye appeal is exceptional in every way! PCGS 3, NGC 1. The most recent example of this date and grade to sell realized $102,000 in August 2020. The current PCGS Price Guide value is $120,000 and back in 2006, an example realized just shy of $150,000!
