- LOW MINTAGE GEM. Glittering, blast white fields create a lovely black and white contrast with the heavily frosted motifs. Exceptionally well struck with no weakness seen anywhere. There are two small toning spots noted on the shield lines and one on the reverse near the 5. A couple of light lint marks (as made) are noted for accuracy. One of only 600 Proofs coined this year. PCGS 1, NGC 1 CAC 1. Just 5 coins grade finer for the grade and designation, with the nicest grading PR67DCAM. We last sold this coin in our Regency sale of May 2022 for $8,812. With the price differential climbing to $14,000 for a CAC piece in PR66DCAM, this is the final grade where the coin can be obtained for $10,000 or less.
