- THE SO-CAL COLLECTION OF MATTE PROOF LINCOLNS Where's the "brown" in the RB designation? Really? This coin is truly a high end 1913 Matte Proof Lincoln that borders on the SUPERB category! Beautiful sandblast type surfaces show off a rich red patina on both sides that is accented by deep gold and a blush of pastel iridescent overtones, particularly on the reverse which has a dusting of violet near the central area. Well struck and satiny, the eye appeal is great! From a mintage of 2,848 Proofs. PCGS 48, NGC 27, CAC 20. There are just 9 in PR66+ RB and just 13 finer in the designation. We sold the most recent PCGS/CAC PR66+ RB example bringing $3,290 in our February 2021 Regency Auction. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $3,350 and we sold a PR67 RB in January 2022 for $8,225. We expect this beauty to sell in the spread between our previous APRs.
