- 1787 Fugio Copper. Club Rays. W-6680, Newman 3-D. URS-10. Rounded Ends. MS-62 BN (NGC). This is a very handsome piece with rich, even, glossy-brown patina blanketing both sides. The coin is overall boldly struck, as well, and most features are actually quite sharp by the standards of the type. There is no significant rub to report, and outwardly distracting abrasions are not seen. The planchet quality is choice, and we note only two significant flaws (as made) on the reverse at the upper-right border and bisecting the lowermost ring. A conditionally rare example of both the <em>Guide Book </em>Club Rays, Rounded Ends type and the Newman 3-D die marriage. Unique Mint State grade at PCGS and NGC!
