- Impressive Pound of Charles I GREAT BRITAIN. Pound, 1642. Oxford Mint. Charles I (1625-49). PCGS EF-40 Secure Holder. S-2940; KM-239.2; N-2398; Brooker-860. RARE. Smaller Shrewsbury horseman trampling arms which contain a cannon. Well struck with good definition of the fine details of the horseman and arms. No major defects to speak of which usually accompany these large silver issues. Lovely old deep cabinet tone displaying dim grey throughout with an attractive heather purple sheen.
