Superb eye appeal! Deeply mirrored fields provide much reflection against the well struck and frosty details in Ms. Liberty's drapery, hair, face, and other details. The rims are framed by a lovely totally original toning imparted from the long term storage in Mr. Reiver's collection. PCGS 4, NGC 8. The first time this coin sold was as lot 21398 in the January 2006 sale of the Jules Reiver Collection. It was then graded PR66 by NGC without the CAMEO designation and sold for $4,600. The Reiver pedigree is well remembered by collectors of early silver collectors, especially those who collect by die marriage, as his collection was very in depth in those coins, but he also had beautiful proofs, like the presently offered GEM!
