- Undated (possibly ca. 1793) Washington Success Medal. Large Size. Musante GW-41, Baker-265A, DeWitt-GW 1792-1a, W-10905. First Die. Brass. Plain Edge. AU-55 (PCGS). 75.52 grains. Attractive brassy-olive surfaces exhibit a smooth, satiny texture overall. Well centered and otherwise sharply struck, softness to the all-seeing eye in the center of the reverse is common for the type. This is one of the nicest Success medals of any die pairing that we handled in recent years, and it is worthy of the strongest bids. Provenance: From the Rancocas Creek Collection.
