详细说明: A classic, low mintage, KEY DATE Standing Liberty quarter. Only 52,000 were struck late in 1916 and as the first year of this popular 20th century type, one of the most beautiful in the entire United States series. Its status as the key in all grades, puts it in strong demand from the lowest to highest grades. This is a well struck near-GEM of the first order. Bold, satiny mint brilliance shimmers and gleams boldly from below a layer of totally original, coppery-gold, olive-tan, and lavender-gray patina on both sides. The devices are sharply impressed with just a hint of softness on the head and shield, just shy of a Full Head designation. The eye appeal is wonderful! PCGS 87, NGC 61, CAC 8. There are just five MS64+s graded by NGC and a single example at PCGS. There was a PCGS MS64+ that sold in our May 2021 Regency Auction fro $20,563; no NGC-graded example has sold since 2015!
