- The 27-S is a condition rarity with precious few that were saved in GEM Mint State. As such, a look at the population figures shows a large cluster at MS64, which likely accounts for many duplicate submissions of the same coin hoping for a 64+ or 65 grade. Wonderfully lustrous surfaces have a strong brilliance in the fields. Showing a typical strike for the date with some weakness of the Indian's braid. Delicate pastel tone can be seen on the surfaces adding life to the visual allure. PCGS 299, NGC 168, CAC 20. The last one to sell realized $3,643 in our July 2017 Regency Auction and the current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $4,750. Keep in mind a 65 (Population 39) is a five figure coin without CAC.
