Ex D.L. Hansen Collection, as noted on the insert. We love the date! The 1914 Barber coinage with a mintage of 380 is the LOWEST in the entire series. This SUPERB quality GEM is very high end and totally original. Dappled, earthy iridescent pastel toning is dusted across the highly mirrored and boldly reflective watery fields. Olive-gold, lilac-slate, apricot-rose hues are brought to life by the underlying brilliance. Crisply struck devices stand out and there is a semi-cameo contrast depending on the angle. The eye appeal is exceptionally charming! Only 390 Proofs were struck. PCGS 16, NGC 16, CAC 8. The last PCGS/CAC example sold in our November 2018 Regency Auction for $4,230. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $3,800 and the CAC CPG value is listed at $4,060. Just 10 are graded higher and we sold a PR68 CAC for $13,513 in February 2021. Bid accordingly! Cert.
