- BOLIVIA. Silver Proclamation Medal, 1789-PTS. Potosi Mint. Charles IV. PCGS EF-45. Herrera-187. Weight: 23.67 gms. Struck to announce the ascension of Charles IV at Chuquisaca (Ciudad de la Plata). Obverse: Bust facing right, with perimeter legend. Reverse: Crowned double headed eagle between two pillars, with perimeter legend. Medium gray toning in the fields contrasts with the silvery gray raised areas to effectively highlight the design elements. An attractive and historic large silver medal. Estimate: $300 - $400.
