- This is NOT your typical VF Bust dollar. This coin clearly was saved in an old cardboard album, as evidenced by the bold peripheral rainbow toning that frames the obverse. The moderately worn devices are a light silver-gray with some deeper gray in the fields. The technical quality is very pleasing for the assigned grade and the visual allure is off the charts! PCGS 45, NGC 37, CAC 5. The most recent example sold in the 2019 FUN auction for $2,640 but that was your typical dull gray-silver kind of coin. This coin last sold in December 2013 for $4,120 attesting to its SUPERB eye appeal. We have estimated it more in line with current market values, but you must realize how special this coin is.
