1870 Two-Cent Piece. Proof-64 RB (NGC). A mix of gray-brown patina and vivid medium orange color to both sides, the latter dominant when viewed at more direct angles. A faint spot within the horizontal shield lines notwithstanding, the surfaces are overall smooth, and they also reveal modest reflective tendencies in the fields as the coin dips into a light.
