A premium grade GEM example of the ONLY silver dollar in the Classic Commemorative series. From a mintage of 36,026, this issue is quite scarce in GEM grades, and always in demand so fine. The vibrantly lustrous surfaces radiate all over accenting the deep blue, rose, crimson, and lavender toning. Sharply struck. The surfaces have some minor traces of ticks that account for the grade. None of these are too serious, and have minimal impact on the eye appeal. PCGS 89, NGC 65. The most recent example to sell in auction realized $10,350 in December 2021. Prior to that, one sold for $12,000 in June 2021. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $12,000. Just two dozen are graded finer, and they become quite pricey any finer. Good luck. Cert.
