Like so many high grade examples of this low mintage date, the highly lustrous fields show off a bold reflection, and this one is oh, so close to a full PL designation. Totally original and pretty patina grace the highly lustrous surfaces. The details are crisp and the surfaces are clean. The eye appeal is impressive for this GEM survivor from an original mintage of only 5,000. PCGS 14, NGC 9, CAC 6. Only two PCGS/CAC examples have ever sold in auction, one for $6,300 and the other for $3,600. The current CAC CPG value is $5,500 and the Collectors Universe value is listed at $6,000. Just eight coins are graded finer, making this GEM a worthy contender for a great Seated half dollar set or type collection. Cert. Number 25798403 PCGS # 6369
