- 1786 Vermont Copper. Landscape. RR-8, Bressett 6-E, W-2030. Rarity-4. VERMONTENSIUM. EF-40 (PCGS). Glossy surfaces are boldly toned in charcoal-copper and deep brown patina. Close inspection with a loupe reveals micropitting and wispy handling marks to both sides, but the in hand appearance is quite smooth. A bit soft over the lower right obverse, upper right reverse, although all major design elements are discernible, and most are fairly sharp. This is the scarcest die marriage of the 1786 Landscape Vermont copper, represented here by an uncommonly well defined EF. PCGS has mounted this coin with the reverse up in the holder. PCGS# 545.
