- 1787 Fugio Cent. Pointed Rays. Newman 8-B, W-6740. Rarity-2. UNITED STATES, 4 Cinquefoils. MS-64 RB (NGC). 161.2 grains. This specimen is medium brown in color on both sides with considerable faded mint red color. Very typical softness at the word BUSINESS on the obverse, with some minor reverse rim flaws (as made) also noted. As is often the case with Newman 8-B, the definition on the sun face and sun dial is especially intricate and sharp, making this variety an excellent choice for type collectors.
