- A borderline GEM quality Standard Silver pattern half dollar, struck in silver with a reeded edge, this Judd-number is listed as a Rarity-5 with about 31-75 estimated to have been struck. This is a high end example, which came in raw and we thought had a shot at PR65 CAM (no guarantees). Deeply beaming mirrors contrast boldly with a brilliant frost. The fields have a bold flash and brilliant clarity. The eye appeal is great. PCGS 4, NGC 3, CAC 2. The other CAC-approved example was the Ex Simpson Collection coin we sold in May 2017 for $2,585. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $2,500. Just two are finer in the CAM designation. This beautiful Standard Silver issue is a great "entry level" pattern type. Cert.
