S-295. A late die state with an arching die crack from between the dentil under the left of the 8 through the lowest curl and through to the rim crossing at the bottom of star 11. The dentils at the upper obverse rim are also missing. Smooth, hard, deeply toned brown copper surfaces show light wear. A few tiny marks can be seen with effort, but the visual allure is unaffected. A neat type coin, dating from the final year of the "early" large cents. PCGS 18, NGC 6, CAC 2. The other CAC coin sold for $3,290 in December 2015, which was ex Jules Reiver Collection. This pleasing coin is fresh to the market and should see bidding bring it to similar level. This is a great coin for a budget minded type set or pleasing AU date set. Cert. Number 21591724 PCGS # 1576
