详细说明: 1887 Three-Dollar Gold Piece. Proof-64 Cameo (PCGS). CAC. Secure Holder. The mintage of Proofs for the year was a mere 160 pieces. PCGS estimates that between 80 and 100 exist today, with the present example one of the finer pieces technically and highly desirable for the Cameo contrast. Struck in bright yellow-gold on the frosted devices with orange-gold fields that display the intricate orange-peel texture seen on these rare Proof gold coins. The surfaces are pleasing with minimal signs of handling and virtually no abrasions from contact are present. One short lintmark is noted on Liberty's cheek, as struck, which blends into the frosted surfaces and is scarcely noticeable. High quality like this never goes out of style, with collector demand ever increasing for these Proof rarities.
