A very difficult KEY DATE with just 6,000 originally struck. This richly toned SUPERB GEM is tied for FINEST graded at both services. Flashy, brilliant, semi-Prooflike lustrous fields are incredibly smooth and free of any distracting marks or lines; only with the aid of a very powerful glass do any die roller lines come into focus (mint made) and a couple of microscopic ticks are found with the aid of a very strong glass, but these are not distracting at all. The surfaces are awash in a gorgeous and original blend of blue, gold, and rose hues. Every detail is expertly struck and the eye appeal is exceptional. PCGS 4, NGC 2. The last time this coin sold was back in 2007! The other NGC MS67 last sold in 2011. The only recent APR is a PCGS/CAC coin in the 2017 FUN auction for $12,925.
