This is a totally original near-GEM of this conditionally challenging date. Freshly graded, this MS64 is bested by eight examples at PCGS. Dove, olive, russet, and tan toning graces the obverse and the reverse is totally bathed in an even battleship/ slate-blue tone. A bold cartwheel luster brings the color to life. While deep, the toning is not dull or lifeless. The details are crisp and full, the eye appeal is excellent. PCGS 21, NGC 12, CAC 5. It has been over five years since the last PCGS MS64 CAC sold in auction, that coin realizing $2,820 in April 2017.
