THE BOYLSTON COLLECTION, PART IV WOW! Look at the GEM Cameo contrast on this beautiful black and white untoned Proof 1880. Flashy, reflective mirrors beam boldly, contrasting against the thick frost of the sharply struck devices. We note a tiny mint made planchet flaw on the obverse and some minor lint marks, attesting to the heavy polishing this die got before striking. The eye appeal is truly wonderful. PCGS 25, NGC 19. The last one sold two and a half years ago, realizing $2,478 in July 2020. Prior to that, one sold for $3,840 in March 2020. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $4,000.
