VERY HIGH END! We have seen WORSE in higher grade holders. Keep in mind that our sister firm, Legend Numismatics, has built the finest ever Mint State Seated Dollar set, so we know how every date in the series comes. This coin has extremely clean and smooth surfaces. Only VERY tiny and scattered ticks can be found using a strong glass. For an 1855, this coin clearly has above average luster. Both sides are evenly covered by a totally original mix of lavender/pale purple/copper/pale olive colors. This is NOT a dull or drab coin. Miss Liberty and the details are really well struck. The eye appeal is actually great! PCGS 3, NGC 7, CAC 1. This coin was the last 1855 PCGS MS61 CAC to sell in auction. It brought $12,950 in January 2013.
