A low pop GEM. A blanket of warm brown color kisses satiny surfaces. Fully struck design details with broad rims. Some traces of darker toning are noted around the stars and the letter E of UNITED. No contact marks! A small area is noted where the design was struck through grease in the die on the neck near the lower hair curls. Part of the method of manufacture, not a detracting feature. PCGS 57; NGC 54; CAC 32. We sold a CAC example in September 2018 in our Regency Auction, the Naftzger coin for $2,174 and another piece sold in January 2019 for $1,320. Worthy of aggressive bidding!
