This is the SINGLE FINEST graded 1978 quarter graded. While the mintage of over 500 million is sizable, very few were saved at the time of mintage and the date is still often seen in commercial channels. This lustrous and well struck Superb GEM is exceptional with lovely iridescent toning and exceptionally clean surfaces. The eye appeal is amazing for a clad Washington quarter. PCGS 1, NGC 0. There are no comps and Collector's Universe does not list a price in this grade. The 1977 (also pop 1) is listed at $2,500 (also no APRs).
