A Choice AU example of this popular Civil War date Seated Liberty dollar. Just over half a million were struck during the last year of the war. This is an attractive and original example with just a touch of friction and both sides are warmly toned. Ex a New England Museum, Stack's Bowers, May 2013, lot 2842. PCGS 18, NGC 13. The most recent example brought $1,325 in May 2021 and the current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $1,750. Quite scarce finer, and particularly RARE in Mint State.
