- Gorgeous honey-rose color blankets both sides of this near-fully lustrous, attractively original example. Well struck throughout the design, and uncommonly well preserved for this conditionally challenging issue. While 830,250 were struck, this is a very rare issue in Mint State, making a lovely and premium quality AU-58+ like this a prime candidate for most collectors to include in their set. Desirable, as well, as the premier San Francisco Mint double eagle issue with the motto IN GOD WE TRUST as part of the reverse design.
