- Beautifully toned and uber colorful, this GEM Satin Proof Buffalo nickel has every color on the spectrum radiating off the satiny brilliant surfaces. Likely stored in an old album, there is a light line across the top of the Indian's head (slidemark) and a patch of deeper toning near the top of the obverse. The blues, pinks, golds, yellows, and greens are truly a delight to behold, as they flow into the strongly struck devices. The eye appeal is great. PCGS 299, NGC 323, CAC 85. The most recent PR66 CAC was NGC-graded, selling for $2,400 in April 2022. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $2,250 and the CAC CPG value is $1,800.
