1933-S Walking Liberty Half Dollar. MS-64 (PCGS). The surfaces are radiant and each side has a light amount of natural patina which is predominately a reddish-golden color. Here is a carefully preserved 1933-S half dollar. We are struck by the bold, convincing design detail for all areas with not even the slightest amount of flatness in the central design. Curious it is, when the 1923-S to 1929-S issues are most always weak to miserably weak in these areas, and followed by almost the same lack of quality control in 1934-S and 1935-S, the 1933-S stands alone, proud and tall as one of the most sharply made dates from this or any other mint.
