Washington Quarters Complete Variety Set, Proof (1965-1998)

The proof series really doesn't begin until 1968, but many collectors include the SMS coins of 1965-67 in this set. Both silver and clad proofs were issued beginning in 1992, adding to the varieties (and the interest) in this series. The most recently issued coins often exhibit dramatic cameo contrast, making an uninspired design into a beautiful coin.
