Wayne's Toned Peace Dollars

关于此套币: This set features toned Peace dollars with thick original skin and/or frosty luster. Attractively toned Peace dollars are rather difficult to find, and due to how the planchets were prepared, don't tone with a bullseye pattern in the manner of Morgan dollars. The Peace silver dollar commemorates the armistice following World War I in 1918. It is designed by Anthony DeFrancisci, and was first produced in December 1921 following a large mintage of Morgan dollars that same year. While there are no extreme rarities in the 24-coin Peace dollar series, the 1928-P is considered the key date, commanding a good price even in well-circulated grades. However, most of the San Francisco issues are tough in top uncirculated grades, particularly the 1927-S and 1928-S as well as the 1924-S and 1934-S. The common issues from 1921 through 1925 are readily obtainable through Uncirculated. Sharply struck Uncirculated pieces with full luster and with a minimum of marks are quite scarce.
