Scot 1797 Shattered Dies

关于此套币: Most of the coins in this set have been struck from obverse or reverse shattered working dies, which are defined as having three or more die cracks towards the center of the coin. This was a problem for the early United States Mint, from inconsistent die steel composition and heat treating processes.
