Buffalo Nickels, Proof (1913-1937)

Compared to building a mint state set, the proof Buffalo nickel set is a walk in the park. Many collectors strive to obtain only the highest graded specimens, as the complete set is comprised of only eight coins. Even so, we are dealing with low mintage coins, and that means there's a challenge in the air for even the most well-heeled collector. Mintages range from 600 for the key 1916 to 5,769 for the final issued of 1937.
