Gold "It's the stuff dreams are made of...."

关于此套币: Detective Sam Spade (played by Humphrey Bogart) in the 1941 film "The Maltese Falcon" uttered the above line following a failed chase to obtain a bejeweled gold statute of a falcon. Bogart (nicknamed Bogey) in a later film would again be involved in the pursuit of gold in the Academy Award 1948 film "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre." In this film he is a down and out prospector from the United States seeking opportunity in 1925 Tampico, Mexico. He and two fellows set out to prospect for gold and they find it but it doesn't turn out good!
So what has this got to do with my collecting a few Saint-Gaudens Double Eagles? Like Bogey, I too would like to head out on a gold seeking adventure. The closest I can come is by collecting a few Double Eagles. For those with top PCGS sets-fear not- you aren't in my numismatic sights (Joke)!
