CAC - An outstanding Classic Head type coin that boasts a bold strike and unabraded fields. A few small flecks are scattered, and the left reverse displays hints of lilac shading. The overall quality is extraordinary. The 1835 was saved in Mint State but few remain full Red without distracting spots. Tied for the finest at CAC.
CAC - "The surfaces have faded from mint color magnificently, blending electric blue, pale violet, rose, and gold tones that enflame under direct light and mellow with indirect light to a perfectly placid deep tan. The lightest color, that closest to mint red, surrounds the peripheral legends. Deeper tones halo the date and LIBERTY on the obverse, and appear to pull away from the legends on the reverse. The fields are lively and reflective, vigorous with luster and prooflike in texture, framed by high upset rims on both sides. The detail is definitively raised, showing each engraved hair strand and leaf vein. The beaded borders are boldly rounded, each fully defined but for a small group in the upper left obverse." Ex. CAC - S-13 - Dark brown, slightly glossy surfaces. The strike is good, with full beaded borders.
CAC - A surfeit of frost adds warm appeal to exquisitely preserved surfaces. With bountiful cartwheel luster and abundant persisting mint color. The obverse fields have barely faded to variegated pale olive and gold, a colorful contrast to the red that remains around all design elements and within Liberty's hair. The reverse is more even, a uniform frosty light brown that still reveals abundant faded mint color. The fields of both sides are nearly immaculate.
CAC - "The Duckor 1919 Lincoln cent is sharp and luminous, yielding untouched frosty luster with no discernible carbon spotting. Coloration transitions between rose-red, orange, gold, and faint greenish hues, all within the scope of the Red category. The originality is unquestioned. CAC - The Sole Finest at PCGS. Virtually mark-free surfaces that show copious luster and a bold strike on both sides. Almost imperceptible rose hues on the left obverse complement surfaces that are largely untoned.
CAC - "Sharply struck on both sides, this pleasing GEM has a strong luster that comes out with a brilliant vibrance that glows in the light and underlies a sumptuous, original patination. Golds, blues, and greens blend over pearly-silver surfaces. The design elements are very sharp overall with only some minor and typical weaknesses in the central devices of the eagle. Struck from clashed dies, parts of the reverse wreath can be seen in the field in front of Liberty's portrait. The eye appeal is exceptional and the quality is stunning!" Ex. CAC - Wonderful rainbow toning on both sides which varies from russet to gold with a touch of blue. The toning deepens around the reverse rim, while the centers are brighter with antique flecks of color intermixed. Boldly struck and the coin has reflective field surfaces, reflecting careful die polishing.
CAC - Both sides have original forest green/magenta colors that blend into deep champagne/pale green colors. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck. The eye appeal is excellent.
CAC - Reddish-purple, electric-blue, and gold toning clings to the borders, transitioning to yellowish-green toward the centers where it blends with aqua-blue on the obverse and soft silver-gray on the reverse. The surfaces of each side are almost wholly prooflike. Sharply struck design elements complement the magnificent toning. Liberty's hair strands and all curls are well-delineated, as are the eye pupil and drapery folds. The eagle's head is much better struck than seen on most other 1796 quarter dollars, revealing crisp eye detail and a full tongue
CAC - Browning-1. The finest 1815 quarter graded by PCGS. Both obverse and reverse glow with satiny luster, cartwheeling over silver gray surfaces blushed with peach and tinted with violet, gold, and pastel blue. Every design element is fully struck, each obverse star shows its complete center, and nearly every border denticle is bold and rounded, showing softness only to the left of 12:00 on the obverse, right of 12:00 on the reverse. CAC - well-struck design elements and glistening, satiny mint luster. Ivory interiors cede to olive, gold, amber, and lilac border toning on each side, which is original. Tied for the finest CAC endorsed coins.
CAC - The only MS68 Type I Standing Liberty Quarter Endorsed by CAC. The detail is excellent, not only on Liberty's head but on the small feathers of the eagle. Strong mint luster swirls beneath deep and gorgeous patina, which covers the surfaces in patches of peach-umber, green-gold, and muted powder-blue.
CAC - "Beautiful and original multicolored toning cascades over both sides of this stunning high-end Gem. Gold and silver-gray coloration imbued with whispers of soft bluish-violet, orange, and russet predominate, accented with splashes of deep electric-blue, violet, reddish-gold, and purple at the upper-right and right obverse and on the lower-right quadrant of the reverse. Reflective prooflike fields highlight the frosty central motifs, yielding a pleasing degree of contrast on each side. The design elements are sharply struck, including individual strands of Liberty's hair and curls. The eagle's wing and tail feathers are bold, as are the talons. A curving, as-made lintmark is visible just above Liberty's cleavage, and light horizontal adjustment marks at the left and right reverse border do not affect the clarity of the letters in UNITED and AMERICA. The few minuscule marks that are visible only under a glass are insignificant and unobtrusive. Indeed, the surfaces on both sides are remarkably well-preserved." CAC - One of two MS68 coins for the Type at PCGS (4/24). "The overall color scheme is one of reddish-orange patina yielding to vivid electric-blue highlights at the denticles. The right obverse, however, displays mottled sea-green overtones intermingled with silver-tinged near-brilliance. The impression is expertly centered on the planchet with fully evident denticulation bordering devices that are sharply delineated in virtually all areas. Lustrous with a softly frosted texture, the surfaces are uncommonly blemish-free."
