Platinum Eagles Complete Set, Circulation Strikes (1997-present)

The Uncirculated Platinum Eagle set consists of just over sixty coins, in four denominations, struck between 1997 and 2008. The denominations are about double that of the gold series; $10, $25, $50 and $100 and feature the Statue of Liberty obverse by John Mercanti with the soaring eagle reverse of Thomas Rogers. Mintages on average are far less than that for the Gold Eagles, averaging less than 10% of the equivalent gold issues. Despite this, premiums remain low, and nearly all issues sell for about the same price.
